GINCREDIBLE: A party for odd fellas everywhere

A one-of-a-kind gin debuts for distillery's fifth craft spirit

Pottstown, PA — Manatawny Still Works is expanding their portfolio of craft-distilled spirits yet again and that means a big release party with GIN as the guest of honor.

The craft distillery's Odd Fellows No. 214 Gin is going to be released on Tuesday, January 20 at the Still Works on Circle of Progress in Pottstown, PA during an event they are calling Gincredible!

Based on the distillery's other offerings, the upcoming gin is expected to be more than credible but the really incredible aspect of the event is that it's going to be all about gin!

1500 bottles of Manatawny Still Works' Odd Fellows No. 214 Gin will be filled next week for the big Gincredible party on Tuesday, January 20, in the distillery's tasting room.

"We're only going to sell gin that night," offers Randy McKinley, sales and marketing director for Manatawny Still Works. "Only gin bottles, only gin cocktails… we want everyone to experience this spirit."

Manatawny Still Works has referenced regional history in the naming of many of their spirits and the distillery's gin is no exception. Named Odd Fellows No. 214 after the organization to which many prominent local historical figures belonged, the Manatawny gin is also inspired by the architecture of the local Odd Fellows building. Pottstown, Pennsylvania's Odd Fellows chapter was No. 214.

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is an inclusive society that, much like gin, came to America from the U.K in the early nineteenth century. The name seemed appropriate for a gin offering from a distillery comprised of folks from all walks of life coming together with the singular love of craft spirits.

The Gincredible night will feature giveaways every half hour including bottles of the new spirit, limited edition Gincredible T-shirts, a one-of a-kind, framed 18x24 print featuring Manatawny Still Works Odd Fellows Gin bottle. The print will be signed by master distiller, Max Pfeffer.

Pfeffer worked for months to develop the Manatawny gin recipe, creating a flavor profile that is at once, classic and complex.

The careful combination of juniper, coriander, bitter orange, lemon, peppercorn and orris root results in a special spirit of which the entire distillery team is incredibly satisfied. Make no mistake, Odd Fellows No. 214 is not your parent's gin… this careful distillation is a true expression of the distiller's intent.

Releasing the unique, premium gin adds an additional signature product to the MSW portfolio while the whiskey ages in barrels.

The classically distinct Odd Fellows No. 214 Gin is 94 proof (Alcohol by Volume 47%) and is an impeccable spirit inclusion for all variety of gin drinks.

"The addition of Odd Fellows No. 214 Gin to the portfolio rounds out our flagship offerings," says Pfeffer. "We've realized quality and originality in each spirit and the gin is no exception."

The distiller is also preparing a second gin offering for which the anticipating public will have to wait a bit longer. Pfeffer has plans for a barrel-aged gin that will flow into new oak cooperage the same time Odd Fellows No. 214 is bottled.

"We'll be putting away a few barrels for a limited release early in the summer," the distiller said. "Some time in the oak cask turns the bright and refreshing gin into something altogether more complex, almost like a hidden treasure that was there all along."

People who love craft spirits and gin do not want to miss this unique event all about gin!

Manatawny Still Works is a new distillery bottling the highest quality handcrafted spirits in small batches. The distillery is located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on the banks of Manatawny Creek - whose Lenape name literally means, "the place we meet to drink."
